Assessment of the Current Fatigue State of a Metal Tower of Wind-Driven Generator Installation on Measurements of the Metal Magnetic Characteristic — Coercive Force

Fatique state of the 100-m metal tower bearing a 12-year old 1.5 MW wind-electric set was estimated. Use was made of coercitive force magnetic flaw-detection for non-destructive testing. First-degree fatique state of the structure section was determined, its connection with the design features shown, and the section’s state was used to project the remaining life.  Enhancements in reliability of the existing tower, during its manufacture, were marked out, altogether with changes in its design. Wind-electric set towers’ state monitoring issues were considered.
