The main trend of modern studies of museum exhibits and archaeological artifacts, which has become widespread in world practice, includes the integrated use of natural science techniques and tools. The choice of research methods is determined by the type of samples studied and the tasks assigned. The article presents the results of some studies of objects from the collections of Russian museums, which were carried out at the NRC "Kurchatov Institute" with the use of synchrotron, neutron and electron microscopic research methods.
