Condition Monitoring of Hazardous Production Facilities in Mining Industry by Automated Means of Nondestructive Inspection

Automatic condition monitoring plays the important part of safety ensuring at hazardous operations industrial facilities. Steel wire ropes are a part of many types of such industrial facilities. Magnetic rope testing has proved itself as an effective method of rope diagnostics. Intros-Auto is automatic system of magnetic rope monitoring. It provides assessment of rope condition according to three different criteria: maximal LMA value, density of local faults and increasing rate of this two with a time. Easy and clearly evident results indication enables standard operative personal to apply this system. The system was successfully applied at drilling rigs of different oil and gas companies, in steel-making industry, is planed to be applied in mining industry.
