Dynamic Methods of Hardness Measurements. Metrological Assurance in the Russian Federation: Existing Problems and Ways of Solving Them

The article is devoted to existing problems of hardness measurements metrological assurance in the Russian Federation, particularly to hardness measurements by Leeb principle. Classification of hardness measurements methods is considered and the structure of the methods’ metrological assurance is presented. The contradiction between existing in Russian Federation practice to acknowledge dynamic hardness gages as measurement instruments with following entering them into the State Register of Measuring Equipment and existing standard system and physical and technical principles of hardness measurement is grounded. The ways of solving the problem are offered.
