Methodology of Automated Ultrasonic Inspection of Rails Welded Joints

The requirements to the automatization of the process of ultrasonic inspection of welded joints are discussed. Effective implementation of automated inspection systems is only possible when consumer system functions are improved significantly: inspection productivity and reliability, simplification of inspection procedure, additional functions are needed as well. Functional capabilities of new multi channel ultrasonic flaw-detector MYG UCS are discussed. This flaw detector is created to inspect rails welded joints and provides inspection document.
