Quasi-Stabilization of Beam Transmission Angle within a Wide Temperature Range

Different ways of beam transmission angle stabilization are discussed: manufacture of transducer prisms of materials, where the longitudinal wave velocity does not depend on the temperature within the range ± 500 °С; manufacture of transducers with the prism combined of two materials, where correlation between longitudinal wave velocities and the temperature are opposite in sign; application of set of transducers, where each of them, with a correspondent angle of prism, provides preset transmission angle in a certain temperature interval within a range ± 50 °С.Recommendations for realization of the two last ways for the rail and other metal products inspection are given.
